Hello, under general settings for Cookies it says "Prefix for cookies and PHP sessions being set by the script. " in that field it says phpfox. Can this be safely changed? is it safe to change?
Thanks!
Thanks!
No, please do not try.
I changed it, then can not log in both front-end and AdminCP.
I have to restore site from backup and lost few days data.

Thanks VenusMotion! I'll keep my mitts off that one. Just trying to make sure all relevant phpfox stuff is removed if it does not have to be there. Thanks again!
I tried it, coz I don't like "phpfox" word showed every where in my site.
Facing with this problem, I have to wake-up Jay at the early morning and he explained this issue by following:

The problem with that setting, is that the acp is not separate from the site. So when anything gets screwed you are also blocked from acp. They need to make acp completely separate so that when there is a problem on front end of site it will not affect you logging into acp.
In other words you should be able to stay logged in to acp as a admin and view the front part of site as a guest or another member.
But to solve the problem you had, all you had to do was access the phpmyadmin and locate that table and remove the entry you placed in it.

Just change it. I changed my on my dev site to "clubugly" without the quotes and everything worked just fine. Also, you might want to delete your cookies in the browser just in case of a conflict. I still firmly believe in the above that I wrote previously about the acp needing it's own complete separate login not tied to front end meaning you can surf the acp while being logged out on the front end and view the front end as a guest or another member. Right now every time you need to view site as guest or another member you need to log out of acp too which makes it a utter pain in the arse for developing and managing your site. It also makes it difficult to log back into acp when you have a front end problem as well currently. So go bump the topic and ask them when they will deliver on this as they promised it would be before final 2.0.0 in the bugtracker.
