Thanks for creating this great looking theme. I'm having trouble installing it any hope someone can help.

I followed the instructions in the ReadMe file for the NBPro 3C Theme installation, as follows:

Step 1: Upload files
Upload the following folder and it's contents to it's corresponding location on your server:

  • /theme/

This was kind of confusing because there is also a module folder. So I thought I would upload the files in that folder(s) to their respective folders(s) on the site. Next, I uploaded the theme folder contents.

Step 2: Enable Theme
Log in to your PHPFox Admin CP and visit the Extensions tab -> Themes -> manage themes -> Import themes and then install the NBSpro Black theme .

Ok. So I went into AdminCP and did as told. I imported the new theme successfully and clicked "Install". Then I waited and waited....and waited and it just kept saying "Saving..."

Step 3: One edit to source file for video spotlight block alignment
Open: /module/video/include/service/video.class.php - Alternatively you can perform this from the Admin CP via Manage Themes ->> Edit templates but phpfox has a tracker issue to resolve this in later release so you won't have to edit any files.

So then I figured I would skip to Step 3. I opened the video.class.php source file on my local copy of the script, added the required code and uploaded the file.

I cleared Cache and when I went to the site, the site was broken and I got a nasty error screen. (See attached).

So after feeling sorry for myself for a couple of hours, I had the brilliant idea of uploading the original video.class.php file. That fixed the error.

Step 4: Setup Blocks
Log in to your PHPFox Admin CP and visit the manage blocks tab. In here you will need to decide which blocks you want to put in the new column. One thing to remember is that blocks in the new column cannot have drag/drop enabled because they won't appear. Only your normal blocks in the 2nd and 3rd column can have drag/drop enabled as normal. Of course the new column really only applies to the dashboard and profile... All other sections you don't want members moving things anyway right :)

Next I tried proceeding to Step 4. But when I went into my Block Manager and tried to click on a block, nothing loaded into the right hand window. I don't think I'm understanding this step correctly to begin with.

So that's where I'm at. I'm concerned that some of the module files I've uploaded have caused the script to not work properly. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to load the blocks on the right pane when you click on the controllers in the left column, right?

Thanks for reading. Attached File  site.gif (22.76K)

Ah yes, I forgot that I reported that as a bug for the spotlight video edits to phpfox. I believe they fixed it in 2.0.5 so you don't need to edit that file for 2.0.5. Undo that edit you did and I will look into the css for the new place where it's done or template.

Right, removed it and changed the location of the image source to point to the themes demo site.

If there is anything more let me know. :)

I created my first quote in the forums section and noticed that there's nothing that separates the quote from my reply message. Is there a way we can wrap the quote in a light grey box or something so that others no where the quote ends and the reply begins?

Thanks!

You can change the Welcome Intro by changing the nivo.html.php file. That's found in the "module/core/template/default/block" folder of your site. Hope this helps.

The theme still won't load. I cleared the edit I made for the video spotlight, activated the theme, deactived the default theme, and cleared cache. Even though the phpfox default theme is deactivated, it's still loading instaed of the NBSpro theme. Is this a file permissions issue maybe? Do I need to CHMOD any folders/files?

How difficult would it be to adjust the header and footer of this theme to also appear to be more fixed width and centered like the body? I have a graphical background image I want to keep on my site that runs on the left and right, while the header, body, & footer are fixed (currently at about 890px wide) and centered. I know it kind of is already, given where the logo and footer text actually falls, but that header and footer bar currently extending to the full left and right is not how I'd like to run it. Otherwise this all looks great.

The header and footer can be changed to extend only the width of the content body if you wish.

I finally got the theme installed but the site is super slow now. PHPFOX support told me that there are nine missing javascript files that the theme seems to be looking for and its basically loading the site over and over again.

Also I'm getting this error. See screenshot. Attached File  template.gif (10.15K)

My theme only added 3 javascript files. It sounds like the theme is not properly installed. PM me the site login and ftp details and I will take a look for you.

Thanks for checking into it. I also am having trouble with the Nivo homepage slider. For some reason the images aren't loading.
And...the tooltip feature isn't working at all.

Is this in IE or Firefox? Are you able to duplicate it using the phpfox default stock skin?

I need a 3 column layout as you have in your theme . Just confirm if you have fllowing options in your theme

There must be option to move and display any block on either hand.
There must be option to display a block on right hand side on one page and in left hand side on other. In short I just need a facebook like theme. 2: Change the css of blocks .just like facebook (no borders)

3: No top navigation, simple links on left hand side navigation.

If these option are not included how much extra would you charge for these and what will he time line?
