I followed the instructions in the ReadMe file for the NBPro 3C Theme installation, as follows:
Step 1: Upload files
Upload the following folder and it's contents to it's corresponding location on your server:
- /theme/
This was kind of confusing because there is also a module folder. So I thought I would upload the files in that folder(s) to their respective folders(s) on the site. Next, I uploaded the theme folder contents.
Step 2: Enable Theme
Log in to your PHPFox Admin CP and visit the Extensions tab -> Themes -> manage themes -> Import themes and then install the NBSpro Black theme .
Ok. So I went into AdminCP and did as told. I imported the new theme successfully and clicked "Install". Then I waited and waited....and waited and it just kept saying "Saving..."
Step 3: One edit to source file for video spotlight block alignment
Open: /module/video/include/service/video.class.php - Alternatively you can perform this from the Admin CP via Manage Themes ->> Edit templates but phpfox has a tracker issue to resolve this in later release so you won't have to edit any files.
So then I figured I would skip to Step 3. I opened the video.class.php source file on my local copy of the script, added the required code and uploaded the file.
I cleared Cache and when I went to the site, the site was broken and I got a nasty error screen. (See attached).
So after feeling sorry for myself for a couple of hours, I had the brilliant idea of uploading the original video.class.php file. That fixed the error.
Step 4: Setup Blocks
Log in to your PHPFox Admin CP and visit the manage blocks tab. In here you will need to decide which blocks you want to put in the new column. One thing to remember is that blocks in the new column cannot have drag/drop enabled because they won't appear. Only your normal blocks in the 2nd and 3rd column can have drag/drop enabled as normal. Of course the new column really only applies to the dashboard and profile... All other sections you don't want members moving things anyway right
Next I tried proceeding to Step 4. But when I went into my Block Manager and tried to click on a block, nothing loaded into the right hand window. I don't think I'm understanding this step correctly to begin with.
So that's where I'm at. I'm concerned that some of the module files I've uploaded have caused the script to not work properly. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to load the blocks on the right pane when you click on the controllers in the left column, right?
Thanks for reading.
