With v3 there will be a lot of changes with how our current Branding Removal will work. Currently with v2 the Branding Removal only removes the "Powered by phpFox" phrase from the HTML title and footer of your site. Which, for the most part removes the branding from the perspective of your users. If someone does a little more digging on your site they can find other references to the product and its origin.

There has been a lot of talk about creating a "White-Label" solution for phpFox. What this entails or least what it is designed to do is to allow the reselling of our product. Many have come in asking for a White Label solution and the main reason I bring this up in this blog entry is to discuss and hear from others if reselling is really what you wanted or was it simply what v3 will offer with its new Branding Removal, which is to remove all branding from the product.

With v3 we have taken steps to remove all such references. Some examples include...
- Remove "powered by phpFox" from title and footer.
- Remove "Phpfox" JavaScript class name, which can be found in all JavaScript and many HTML files. Changed it now to $Core.
- All HTML forms had a security token using the unique name "phpfox[]". This has been removed.
- Every page sends HEADER information and this had a phpFox branding in it and has also been removed.
- All static index placeholders "index.html" files had a unique phrase associated with phpFox and has been removed.
- Any phrases within the AdminCP that contain our products name will be removed.
- All JavaScript files have copyright information related to our company. Removed in v3.
