We are pleased to announce that phpFox version 3.0.0 Beta 5 has been released.
This will be our final beta release. Our next version will be RC1 (Release Candidate). The next version will officially be supported by our team.
With v3.0.0 Beta 5 we focused on completing the upgrade routine and it now includes the ability to fully upgrade from any phpFox version. It provides from your AdminCP the ability to convert Groups into Pages as well as Bulletins into Blog entries. As you may have noticed both the Groups and Bulletins modules have been dropped and replaced by a Pages and Blog module.
Additionally we have moved all of the hard coded phrases from the source code into the language package so now v3 is fully ready to be translated. If a phrase cannot be translated at this point it is now considered a bug so be sure to submit a bug report about the phrase so we make sure to get that fixed by RC1.
Final release dates for v3 can be found here.
If you have just heard about v3 and would like to find out more check out our series of blog entries detailing all the new changes and features this version introduces.
