We noticed several non-trivial problems with RC1, for example the infinite loop redirection (here is how to fix that problem). Due to this we will release RC2 next Wednesday the 16th, and RC3 will be released on Wednesday the 23d.
In this way we will roll out the more important fixes quicker.
Edit: At this point we do not plan on changing the release date for the Stable version. Releasing more frequently will help sites upgrade a more stable version quicker. However if we would not be able to fix all the pertinent bugs, Stable would be delayed as we would not release a low quality product.
